Jen Montgomery is a certified Pilates instructor and specialist with over 10 years experience teaching Pilates classes, privates and semi-private sessions. Her passion is in sharing and tailoring the Pilates repertoire to create effective and safe instruction for all ages, groups and fitness levels. She holds certifications with STOTT and BASI Pilates.
Jen specializes in group reformer classes, Pilates for corrective exercise, physical therapy and rehabilitation, Pilates for older adults, Pilates for athletes, Pilates for tweens and teens, Pilates for figure skaters and Pilates for dancers.
Jen believes that Pilates is for everybody, and is passionate about sharing the love, whether it be assisting in a physical therapy patient’s recovery, modifying or intensifying exercises for clients in our group classes, or tailoring exercises for elite athletes.
Outside the studio her 2 kids, husband and golden retriever keep her very busy and active. When she’s not in the studio she loves activity outdoors, including golf, hiking, biking and paddle boarding. She and her family love to adventure and travel whenever they get the chance.
Kristen was an avid dancer from childhood through her teens. Prior to teaching Pilates, she had a career in the financial industry, during which stayed healthy and fit through all forms of exercise. It wasn’t until she found Pilates that she discovered the passion she once experienced as a child through dance.
Diving head first into a full certification training program with Balanced Body in 2013, she found herself forever inspired and changed. You will find her classes creative and always adding some new moves to help challenge and change your body, mind and spirit.
She is very excited to be part of a practice that can bring such value to life. Out of the studio, Kristen loves traveling and teaching Pilates abroad to combine her two passions: sharing her love for Pilates and exploring new places. In addition to Pilates she enjoys yoga, barre, hiking, SUP, snowboarding and spin. Kristen also is passionate about eating healthy and incorporating organic foods into her diet, embodying healthy living in its entirety. She is super excited to share her passion at the Pilates Shoppe!
Cory grew up right here in South Orange County where fitness is a way of life. She decided to take on the fitness industry in 2010 after both of her kids entered school full time. Cory’s first stop in her fitness journey was obtaining her certification as an Indoor Cycling instructor. Shortly thereafter, Cory attended the Body Arts and Science Institute and in 2012 completed her Intermediate/Advanced Pilates Certification.
Joseph Pilates believed that his method of Pilates should be regarded as a “way of life and total path to health”, rather than merely just a series of exercises. Cory embodes this belief. She enjoys working with clients at all levels, from the young athlete to the mature client. Cory tailors her private sessions to the clients needs and likes to keep her group classes fresh and exciting! She feels that exercising should be an experience for the mind, body and soul.
Dana’s passion for Pilates is deeply rooted in her experience in physical therapy. Having over 10 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant she was fascinated with the synergy between PT and Pilates. She feels Pilates is a unique way to continue with whole body integration that is required for overall improved function. She looks forward to working with you!
Coming to Cali from the East Coast, Casey has been working in the health and fitness industry as a trainer and Pilates instructor in New York and Boston for 10 years. Casey has worked with a variety of styles and fitness levels, through her experience running her own Boot Camps in Central Park, to working with actors and dancers in NY, and teaching Pilates and personal training at Equinox. Whatever your fitness level, she is eager to work with you…just come ready to work hard!
